Our Impact

The PEPFAR Project is the President’s Emergency Plan for HIV/AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The Country Operational Plan (COP) 20 guidance requires community-led monitoring platforms in all PEPFAR programs to develop, support, and fund a community-led monitoring system in close collaboration with civil society organizations (CSOs) independent of current implementing mechanisms and host country governments.

SMAid International took on the noble mission of combating Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) through a series of impactful interventions. The organization worked at the national and regional levels to bolster existing NTD initiatives to support affected communities through the following activities:

In pursuit of gender equality and the eradication of violence against women and girls, SMAid International, in partnership with Oxfam in Ghana and Women in Law and Development in Africa (WiLDAF Ghana), implemented the “Enough! Empowering Women, Girls, Boys, and Men to Take Positive Action in Ending SGBV” project in 2022. The European Union supported this four-year initiative to create a secure and supportive environment where women and girls could assert their rights without fear of violence.
